Becoming a mom is what made me want to share my photography with the world. The days go by too fast, I want to be the one that gives you something tangible to look back on. The milestones, the growth, and the giggles.

If you're not quite sure what an in-home newborn session is or looks like, I am here to help!

During this session, my focus is on the family as a whole - I am capturing the sweet story of your growing family as you are, where you're most comfortable - at home. We all know these moments leave us just fast fast as they come so I aim to capture just about everything; Sweet baby's tiny features, the little details in the nursery that you've worked on for 9 months. The way big brother or sister obsess over "their new baby" - melt my heart - or the way mom and dad light up the second they look at their newest love. By the end of the session, I will have captured all the honest, sweet, sometimes emotional moments that come with welcoming in a newborn, all from the comfort of your own home!

When I first arrive, I will have someone show me around so I get a feel for the lighting in your home - common places to shoot are in the nursery, a bedroom or living room (or any room with a large window, for that matter). A typical in-home newborn session takes 1-1.5 hours, but it could also go over that time! The baby is in charge, so we allow plenty of time for feeding and diaper changing breaks. I usually aim to get these at about 2 weeks old!
